IP3 members have been busy supporting communities affected by the Alberta Tar Sands, the largest and most destructive oil-extraction project on Earth.

This summer IP3 staff and advisory board members attended the Waterkeepers III conference in Fort Chipewyan, Alberta, Canada, where Sharon Lungo and Heather Milton-Lightening rocked an organizing training for the youth who were in attendance.

We recently also supported actions against the Spirit Train which was rolling across Canada promoting the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. Indigenous folks across Canada are taking a stand and IP3 is proud to be part of it.
