Diebold Action

April 22, 2004--Canton, OH--Diebold Devours Democracy--Direct Action. Ruckus Society partnered with True Majority to crash Diebold's annual shareholder's meeting in Canton, Ohio. Fifty protesters form Billioniares for Bush, The League of Pissed Off Voters, Black Box Voting, and True Majority rallied outside of the meeting to demand paper receipts from voting machines and election accountability. A theatrical giant voting machine was the central focus of the rally. Protesters who attempted to vote were met with flashing lights, screeching sirens and smoke. The Ruckus Society provided the grand finale of the event when it hoisted the giant banner: Diebold Devours Democracy.
