May 14-16, 2004 Detroit, MI Detroit microRuckus As part of our commitment to provide follow-up training for participant organizations after the Our Power Action Camp 2002, The Ruckus Society brought a team of trainers to Detroit, Michigan, to work with young organizers brought together by Detroit Workers for Environmental Justice. The training included Organizing 101, Campaign Strategy Development, and individual leadership development work. The last day of the camp included a field trip that visited some of the most toxic areas in the city and some of the most promising grassroots projects including urban gardens, community centers and art parks.
